We had a pop-up subscriber form on our non-profit’s website which was working fine, adding subscribers to our MailChimp database. However, when I tried to edit it, the connection seems to have broken. I followed the MailChimp instructions exactly and pasted some code just before the closing </head> tag but MailChimp now says:
” Hmm, we’re able to reach your site but we can’t find the mc.js script. ”
The code I pasted is:
<script id="mcjs">!function(c,h,i,m,p){m=c.createElement(h),p=c.getElementsByTagName(h)[0],m.async=1,m.src=i,p.parentNode.insertBefore(m,p)}(document,"script","https://chimpstatic.com/mcjs-connected/js/users/xxxxx/xxxxxxx9.js");</script>
I noticed the error message refers to mc.js rather than mcjs but changing this had no effect.
Can anyone suggest what has gone wrong? It used to work!
