I need to restrict content on my site to members only.
Ideally, I would like:
-The content on the homepage or on any landing page to be displayed for 5 seconds before a popup appears
-The popup contains customized a WP registration form
-The form will register the user to access the site and transmit the registrant's name, email address, and some other information to MailChimp or Constant Contact.
The content is free so no payment gateway is needed. I've tried multiple combinations of membership plugins, custom registration forms, etc. but just can't seem to get it right. Down the road, I'd like to also install forums that will be behind the wall as well.
Can anyone point me down the path that ends in a good combo to accomplish this?
